Grouping of Pre-Columbian vessels including four vessels with tripod feet, one bowl with rounded base, and one effigy bowl. Five vessels with painted designs. Heights ranging from 5 1/4" to 2" height. Provenance – collection of Dr. Lewis B. Hilton (d. 1997), professor emeritus of music education at Washington University. Research by Dr. Hilton included musical instruments of Mexico before the Cortez era. Condition: Expected wear to paint, chips to rims on two vessels, largest tripod pot broken in several areas and glued.
