(The cat was likely modeled on the artist’s own black cat, Jasper, one of his frequent subjects). Signed lower right “Strauser” and dated 1973. Mounted on a black faux leather covered board in an ivory-painted ripple carved frame. Sight: 24 in. W x 12 in. H. Frame: 34 in. W x 21 in. H.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Anne Buffington, Brentwood, TN.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, some negligible grime. Spots of wear to frame.
