Stenciled en verso in gold paint: Crown mark, W. St. & Co., Braunschweig. Sight 10" H x 7 1/2" W. Molded wood frame with gilt stencil slip matte: 14" H x 12" W. German, 1st half 19th century. CONDITION: Good condition with craquelure overall. Frame burn from previous oval shaped frame. Corner losses at all four corners. Slight surface scratching to face and left side. Black light shows no inpainting or alterations.
