A large French copper bas relief plaque with repousse depiction of a rampant lion. Housed in a contemporary brushed steel frame. Acrylic plaque with the piece attributes it to the 17th century, but the lack of patination and wear suggests it is likely early to mid-20th century. Plaque – 34" H x 28 1/2" W. Framed – 32 1/2" H x 38 1/2" W. Collection of the late Edwin and Rebecca Raskin, Nashville, Tennessee, ex-Gordon Cayce Antiques. CONDITION: Scattered minor oxidation and small dents.
