Two hand-painted porcelain portrait plaques in Rococo style frames. 1st item: Portrait plaque of young man in Elizabethan period clothing fitted in gilt bronze oval pendant frame with inset turquoise (3 3/4" x 2 7/8") mounted on a bronze metal Rococo style frame, 14" H x 10 1/4" W. 2nd item: Dish-shaped portrait of young woman in Elizabethan period cap and dress with gold oak-leaf design ground (4 1/8" diameter) mounted on a bronze metal Rococo style frame, 15 1/2" H x 10" W. European. Plaques: late 19th-early 20th century. Frames: mid-20th century. Provenance: Private Knoxville, TN collection. CONDITION: Minor surface scratches to plaques. Minor loss of gilt to perimeter of dish portrait.
