Mid 19th Century Spanish smooth-bore percussion pistol, measured .72 caliber, with octagonal barrel engraved and inlaid with foliate designs, stars, and the inscription "De Berraduras / Por Benito Tallastegin / En (?) 1845"; engraved lock, hammer, and tang; German silver mounted with foliate designs, including trigger guard, ramrod holder, pommel, backstrap, screw surround and wedge escutcheons. Wooden stock with checkered grip, captive metal ramrod on a swivel. Overall Length 13 3/4".
CONDITION: Stock with repaired crack and gouges around lock. Bore is pitted. Hammer holds two set positions (albeit not fully back) and releases with trigger pull.
