Four (4) Maria Poveka Montoya Martinez (1887-1980) related items, including bowl and miniature vase. 1st item: Small plain blackware bowl, incised signature "Maria Poveka" on underside, 3"H x 3 1/2" diameter. 2nd item: Miniature vase with incised serpent and arrow design, signed "Maria I Naranjo" on underside. 3 3/8"H. 3rd item: Maria Martinez signed book, MARIA: THE POTTER OF SAN ILDEFONSO by Alice Marriot, signed "Maria Poveka" on frontispiece. University of Oklahama Press, 1970. 4th item: Tony Da (grandson of Maria Martinez, 1940-2008) lithographed portrait of Maria Martinez, signed "Maria Poveka" in the plate, lower right. Framed under glass with ivory mat in a silver gilt frame. Sight 8 7/8" x 6", 14 1/4" x 11 1/2" framed. Also included is a brochure, "the Story of Maria's Pottery" and a Maria and Popovi postcard, both circa 1970s. Provenance: Estate of Celia (Cece) Webb, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: Pottery: Good condition, with slight general wear. Print: excellent conditon. Book: slight wear and a couple of tiny scuffs to dustjacket, overall fine.
