Continental Trumeau mirror, the silvered glass surmounted by an oil on canvas painting depicting figures in ancient Greco-Roman style clothing including a man seated and holding a staff, with a child standing near his knee and a woman serving fruit, all against a Classical style landscape background; all in a giltwood frame with beaded edge. Painting – 35" H x 28 1/2" W. Mirror – 16 3/4" H x 28 1/2" W. Overall – 58 1/8" H x 31 1/2" W. Probably French or Italian, 19th century. CONDITION: Old repaired breaks to frame. Some craquelure to painting. Silvering to mirror.
