Four (4) carved and painted duck decoys attributed to Mason Decoy Factory (1896-1924) Detroit, MI, all standard grade, including two (2) mallard drakes with glass eyes and one (1) redhead drake with painted eyes, and one (1) redhead hen with glass eyes. Ranging in size from 5 1/2" H x 14" L to 6 3/4" H x 16 1/4" L. 1st Qtr. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Both mallards with overall general wear and losses to paint, and vertical shrinkage to bodies. 1 mallard with losses to head. Redhead drake with damage to the tail, overall general wear. Redhead hen with moderate losses to paint, primarily to back and tall and vertical shrinkage to base. All weights have been removed.
