European mahogany marquetry center table, likely Italian, the circular tilt top having a central marquetry floral medallion flanked by eight marquetry shaped vignettes depicting figures in rustic clothing and bordered by a marquetry foliate band, twist and acanthus leaf carved pedestal base, acanthus carved knees and a tripod base ending in curved feet. 31" H x 30 3/4" dia. 3rd Qtr. 19th century. Provenance: The estate of Jean A. Yeatman and Harry C. Yeatman, formerly of Hamilton Place Plantation (near Columbia, Tennessee). CONDITION: Powderpost beetle damage mainly near base. Top is warped. Missing a couple sections of molding along edge of table. Areas of inlay and veneer loss.
