Joe Parrish (Tennessee, 1905-1984) original political ink and watercolor cartoon on paper titled "How Inconsiderate to Make All That Noise." It depicts a tax payer being shushed while able-bodied idlers on relief rest under a tree. Inscribed: To Baldy from his friend Joe Parrish. Sight: 13" H x 13" W. Framed: 17-1/8" H x 17-1/8" W. Circa 1961. Note: Joseph Parrish was the Chief Editorial Cartoonist for the Chicago Tribune and worked for the Tribune from 1936-1970. Provenance: East Tennessee collection. Condition: Overall very good condition with some paint deterioration around the central character body. Minor foxing on matte.
