Large Fernando de Jesus Oliveira "Ferjo" (Pennsylvania/Brazil, b. 1946) oil on canvas surrealist painting depicting an interior scene with abstract art, including a work by Joan Miro, adorning the walls and a central window-like opening that reveals an ocean scene with seagulls, cylindrical forms, and a long ribbon with elements that extend out of the opening and into the interior space. Other objects and fragments float at random in the room. Signed "Ferjo" lower right. Housed in a contemporary painted wood frame. Sight: 48 7/8" H x 68 1/4" W. Framed: 51 1/2" H x 71 1/8" W.
PROVENANCE: A Nashville, Tennessee Estate.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with heavy grime. Slight area of inpainting lower center, visible under UV light inspection.
