World War I Model 1917 trench knife and original leather scabbard. Marked on the inside of the guard, "This knife was also known as the "Knuckle Duster". It has a D-shaped guard with triangle shaped "Knuckles". Marked inside the guard, "A.C.CO. USA 1917". Overall excellent, untouched condition – retains almost all bluing, no damage to tip, a couple areas of light oxidation. Scabbard in excellent shape with all rivets present. Provenance – acquired from a World War II veteran who acquired it from an older U.S. soldier during the War.
