Lot of three early Tennessee documents. 1ST ITEM: Document dated 1796, ordering the sheriff of Knox County to summon a witness in a case between Joseph Lea and David Robertson, signed Charles McClung. Some toning despecially at fold lines,otherwise excellent condition. 6 1/2" x 8". 2nd and 3RD ITEMs: 1839 Gibson County court settlement orders addressed to the sheriff of that county, signed by court clerk J.B. Blakemore. Each in overall good condition with folds at edges, toning and foxing, one with old pencil calculations. 12 3/4" x 7 1/2". Private Nashville, TN collection.
