After the original 1864 photo by J Vannerson of Richmond. Card 6 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. 3rd item: Robert E. Lee seated with left profile, a circa 1900 Miley studio reprint of the original by Matthew Brady, with “M. Miley & Son” imprint underneath, lovely sepia toned with softened features and “Miley” signature in plate lower right. 1939 gift inscription on verso. Card 9″ x 6″, image 5 1/2″ x 3 7/8″.
PROVENANCE: By descent from the estate of Stanley Horn, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: 2″ horizontal mark to top of Lee’s head, some silvering to deep blacks. 2nd item: Rubbing/toning to card. 3rd item: Slight toning to card.
