Four (4) framed 18th-century maps of America. 4 plates (out of 12) from "Le Colonie Unite dell' America Settentr'le" by Antonio Zatta, published Venice, 1778, hand-colored engravings on laid paper. Includes plates VII, X, and XI depicting parts of Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and the Carolinas, plus VIII depicting parts of Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. Not examined out of frame, but plate VIII has labels on verso indicating that it contains watermarks. Housed under glass in matching burlwood and giltwood frames with linen mats and gilt fillets. All approximately 14" H x 18" W (sight) with frames 22" H x 26" W.
PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition, possibly deacidified. Some creasing, most notably on Plate VIII. Not examined out of frame. Scattered spots of abrasions and wear to frames.
