Two (2) Wesley A Rusnell (American, New Mexico, 20th/21st century) oil on linen abstract Mojave Sky Study paintings, one (1) titled "Mojave Sky #5" rendered in shades of bright pink, orange, and yellow, and one (1) titled "Mojave Sky # 4" rendered in shades of orange, purple, blue, and green. Both are dated "1972" en verso, one inscribed with marker, and one on a label. Both having old labels for The Contemporary Art Gallery, Santa Fe, NM and Sables Gallery, Taos NM affixed en verso. Both housed in assembled wood frames. Sights: 18 1/4" H x 24" W. Frames: 19 1/4" H x 24 1/2" W. Note: These were purchased by the consigner from the Stables Gallery in Taos, NM.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Mojave Sky # 5 having an errant mark to lower left corner and #4 having an abrasion to the upper left corner. Otherwise in very good condition.
