Collection of 63 negative sheets, predominately of Niagara Falls in the early 20th Century, featuring images of daredevils who risked their lives attempting to descend the falls in a barrel, swim across the river, or cross on a tightrope. Some notable images include: Annie Edison Taylor, Charles Stephens, Capt. Matthew Webb, Carlisle D. Graham, Actress Maude Willard, Bobby Leach, William Kondrat; and tightrope walkers Andrew “Professor” Jenkins and Maria Spelterini. Images range from late 19th C. to mid 20th C. Many negative sheets contain multiple images. 8 in. x 10 in.
CONDITION: Sheets are in very good condition with tape and ink used for print masking.
