Sixteen (16) toleware items, all with polychrome painted or stenciled leaf, berry, floral, lettering, or star designs or landscape scenes, including: one (1) centerpiece bowl or basket on a footed base; one (1) oval basket; two (2) rectangular form storage boxes with hinged lids; one (1) cylindrical form tea caddy with a hinged lid with top handle; three (3) rectangular tea caddies with hinged lids and finial handles; two (2) oval tea caddies with lids; one (1) rectangular box with hinged domed lid; one (1) Dutch biscuit box with hinged lid with one (1) undertray; and three (3) circular containers with lids. Ranging in size from 1 1/2" H x 2 3/4" dia. to 6 1/2" H x 10" W x 6 1/8" D. European & American, 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Patricia Kiegel, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with wear to be expected from age, dents, oxidation to metal, tarnish, craquelure, losses to paint, largest 8". Two storage boxes with latches for padlocks to lids, one box with a missing latch.
