Southern yellow pine cellarette, 19th and 20th century elements. Consisting of an early 19th century dovetailed box and plain top attached by dowels to the case with battens to each side and ogee base molding. There is an early 20th century removable dovetailed well divided into 16 compartments. The 19th century box rests on a 20th century base with plain aprons and tapered legs. 38 14" H x 17 1/2" W x 16 3/8" D. Southern, 19th century and 20th century elements.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Refinished with stains, minor gouging and wear to the top, some wood shrinkage to top boards. Lock removed. Inner divided well, apron and legs, and bottom board of 19th century box are early 20th century.
