Tiffany Sterling Silver presentation bowl, with round tapering sides and raised foot, marked on underside "Reproduction Original by Joseph Conyers Boston About 1760", Tiffany & Co. Makers, 19750, with inscription "To Frank Brady in Recognition of 10 Years Outstanding Contribution to Aviation / Air Transport Association of America." Monogram on exterior side L*S*B. 4"H x 10" Diameter. 22.90 oz troy. Note: Pilot, engineer, and author Frank Brady was awarded the Medal of Freedom for his pioneering work in aircraft navigation and landing systems, which made landings safer during World War II. In addition to designing and testing electronic instruments to aid in flight landings and publishing extensively on the subject, he also served as Executive Director of the Institute of Navigation in Washington, DC. Provenance: the estate of Lucille Svitzer Brady (Mrs. Frank B. Brady), formerly of Annapolis, Maryland. Condition: Couple of tiny spots of light scattered pitting to interior, overall very good condition.
