Hand carved and painted wood figural group depicting the Georgia state bird and flower, a brown thrasher perched upon a log with Cherokee rose blossoms. Signed on the log beneath the bird "R. Brandt" and dated "1977". Mounted onto an oval wood base. 7 3/8" H x 16" L x approx. 10" W.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, some light grime, wood shrinkage to one upper leg of bird.
