Purchased directly from the artist in 2010 (receipt included). Alan LeQuire received his Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. He was mentored by Puryear Mims and studied sculpture with Peter Agostini and Milton Hebald. He is best known for his depiction of Athena, housed at the Nashville Parthenon, and Musica sculpture which stands in the Music Row area of Nashville. Condition: Minor abrasions, old clean break to base.
