Robert Trotman (American, b. 1947), untitled sculpture, depicting a man in free fall. Wood, tempera, and wax. Exhibited, North Carolina Museum of Art, 2011. 30"H x 22"W x 9"D. Provenance: estate of A. Welling LaGrone Jr., Nashville, Tenn. Commissioned by Mr. LaGrone in 2007. A letter between him and the artist accompanies lot, as does a study for it in ink and watercolor, framed. Study signed lower right and dated '07. 9 1/2" x 11". (2 items in lot). Condition: Overall excellent condition. Some scuffing to arm near screw support for suspending sculpture.
