David Arms (American/Tennessee, 20th Century) large oil on board surrealist still life painting titled "Hand of God" depicting a floating table draped in white lace tablecloth topped with a blue and white porcelain dish filled with pears and apples having two blue jays perched on top, the fruit spilling out onto the table with blueberries and dominos, and the lid of the dish hovering in the air above, all against a sky background with white clouds. Signed "David Arms" lower left. Titled and dated 2008, en verso. Housed in a veneered wood frame with an ebonized filet. Sight: 48 1/2" H x 36 1/2" W. Framed: 57 1/2" H x 45 1/2" W.
CONDITION: Painting in overall excellent condition. Frame with light wear.
