Biography (adapted from Crow's Shadow Institute of the Arts): James Lavadour, a largely self-trained painter, grew up on the Umatilla Reservation near Pendleton, Oregon, and has been exhibited at The Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, the Eiteljorg Museum, Portland Art Museum, the Heard Museum, and the Institute of American Indian Art in Sante Fe among other.
