President Andrew Jackson (1767-1845), 7th president of the United States from 1829 to 1837, signed land document granting Benjamin Huffman 64 and 93/100th acres of land in the military district of Zanesville, Ohio, certificate no. 2355. Dated December 1,1830 and signed "Andrew Jackson" lower right; countersigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office, Elijah Hayward, lower center. Matted under glass in a faux wood-grain frame. Sight – 9" H x 15"W. Frame – 14"H x 20"W.
CONDITION: Not examined out of frame. Lacking seal; toning, creasing, and some light scattered foxing, particularly lower right. Creases across the A and J in the President's signature and some fading to ink.
