John Pasche (British, b. 1945) original gouache and charcoal on wove paper of the Rolling Stones iconic "Tongue and Lips" logo. Signed lower right. Unframed. 31" square. 21st century. Biography (adapted from artist's CV and Creative Review): John Pasche received a degree in Graphic Design from the Brighton College of Art before continuing his education at the Royal College of Art, where he obtained an MA and developed a fascination with Pop Art. It was there as a student in 1970 that Pasche first met Mick Jagger and designed the famous logo for the Rolling Stones. He was paid 50 GBPs. (Almost 30 years later, the V& A Museum bought Pasche's original artwork at auction for $92,500). Pasche has received numerous awards, including seven from Music Week for album, TV, and Point of Sale designs.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with very slight creasing to paper, lower left quadrant.
