1st item: Oak and mahogany candle box, trapezoid form with hinged lid and pierced carved back, inlaid satinwood decoration of a seashell on front. 20 7/8″ H x 7 1/8″ W x 6″ W. Late 19th/Early 20th century, probably English. 2nd item: Primitive carved burl wood bowl, 3 1/2″ H x 8″ W. 19th century, American. 3rd item: Mixed wood folk art carved gavel, incised “Lookout MT” (probably Lookout Mountain, TN) on one side, 1/2″ hole on other side of gavel. 8 1/2″ L x 3 5/8″ W. Early 20th century. Provenance: Estate of James J. Allen, Knoxville, TN. CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition. 2nd item: Scratches on surface and interior of bowl, 5 areas of repair with brown wood fill material. 3rd item: Cracking of wood around hole on head.
