Framed albumen portrait image of an unidentified Civil War soldier, most likely Confederate, in oval matte and period carved frame. Examination out of frame reveals soldier holding a pepper box pistol in his left hand with sword and books inbackground. Condition – Overall toning to image, especially where surrounded by matte. Image size – 10" H x 8 1/4" W. Sight – 7 3/4" H x 6" W. Framed – 18 1/8" H x 16" W. Mid 19th century.
