Two Staffordshire hen on nest covered boxes, the "nests" with basketweave designs, unmarked. One measures 8" H x 8" W x 6"D, the other 8"H x 9" W x 7"D. English, 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Margaret Wemyss Connor, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: 1st item: Several minute fleabites to head and rim of basket. 2nd item: wear to basket edge.
