Surrounded on three sides with text that describes the geography and topography of the continent including Indian County and also discusses the discovery and settlement of North America. Engraved with hand coloring. Housed in a painted and parcel gilt frame with white matte and gilt filet. Sight: 24 1/8" H x 32 3/4" W. Framed: 29 5/8" H x 37 3/4" W. 2nd item: Geographical, Statistical & Historical map of Kentucky, 1827, published by Henry Charles Carey (1793-1879) and Isaac Lea (1792-1886) Philadelphia, illustrated by J. CONDITION: 1st item: Overall toning, center fold. Water staining and pencil inscription lower left quadrant. Pinhole punctures to corners and upper center. Minor losses to center fold, mostly to lower edge. 2nd item: Overall toning, center fold with minor losses to lower center fold. Not examine doutside of frames.
