John Netherton (Tennessee, 1949-2001) photographic portfolio housed in four fabric covered archival boxes.Titles include Leaves, Abstracts, Flowers, Water; each portfolio containing 10 signed and matted photographs. Photographs 13" x 19 1/4" sight, 20" x 24" matted. Boxes 2 1/4" x 21 1/2" x 25 1/4". Circa 2000. John Netherton was a noted Nashville based environmental advocate and nature photographer who studied with Ansel Adams, Eliot Porter, and Ernst Haas. He authored approximately 20 books, including several books with Tennessee Senator Howard Baker exploring the landscapes of his home state. His award winning photos also appeared in other books, calendars, and magazines ranging from Audubon to Outside, and he also hosted workshops for Nikon, Kodak, and Disney prior to his unexpected and untimely death in 2001.
