Irish mahogany and mahogany veneer dish or tray top tea table with a shaped apron, cabriole legs terminating into slipper feet. Underside with middle brace and glue blocks around the perimeter of the rails. 26" H x 29" W (at knees) x 18" D (at the top).18th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee collection, ex-Dr. Benjamin Caldwell, Nashville.
CONDITION: One rail restored, scattered repairs and cracks to veneered skirt and tray-top molding, age separation to one corner of table, one glue block replaced, some warping of slipper feet, feet formerly fitted with casters, other scattered flaws.
