Three Native American rivercane baskets including: one (1) Cherokee, attributed to Rowena Bradley, small double-weave square-lidded form with alternating bloodroot, walnut, and natural weavers; one (1) rivercane elbow form Cowshatta (Koasati) hanging wall basket with bloodroot and walnut weavers attributed to Soloman Batista; and one (1) rivercane “cownose” variation Cowshatta (Koasati) or Catawba hanging basket with alternating bloodroot and walnut weavers. 4 3/4″ H x 4 1/2″ square, 13 1/2″ H x 11 1/4″ W x 3 1/2″ D, 11″ H x 14″ W x 8″ D. . All 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Florida collection. Rowena Bradley basket ex-Betty Dupree.
CONDITION: All baskets overall very good condition. Cownose basket with minor wear to rivercane sheen on front.
