Collection of 15 Robert E. Lee related photographs, including 8 bearing imprint of Cook Studios of Richmond, Virginia, plus photos of Lee's sons. 1st – 2nd Items: Two 8×10 prints on stock of photographs by Michael Miley of Lee in 1870, notable as the last photograph taken of Lee;
3rd Item: Glossy print on paper of Miley's 1868-69 photo of Lee in the Lexington studio of Boude and Miley, with embossed imprint of Cook Studios, Richmond VA, 6 1/4" H x 4" W;
4th – 10th Items: Various poses of Lee throughout his career, all with with embossed imprint of Cook Studios, Richmond VA, ranging in size from 5" H x 3 1/2" W, to 8" W x 10" H;
11th – 12th Items: Images of Lee in uniform and in an oval profile, unknown print studio, 4" W x 5 1/2" H;
13th – 15th Items: Lee's sons, including glossy on paper of Robert Edward "Rob" Lee Jr., an oval portrait of William Henry Fitzhugh Lee, and albumen on card CDV of George Washington Custis Lee, ranging in size from 2 1/2" W x 4 1/4" H to 5 1/2" H x 3 3/4" W.
PROVENANCE: By descent from the estate of Stanley Horn, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: All in very good condition with pencil notations on reverse; photo of Robert Jr. shows damage in the negative, not on this paper.
