Late classical mahogany dressing table, possibly Southern. Ogee molded mirror and flanking scrolled supports over a shaped tier of two drawers and table with two drawers over one long drawer. All drawers dovetailed with beveled edges. Square flaring base support transitioning to a base platform of four scrolled feet. Flaming mahogany veneered throughout, poplar secondary wood. Inscriptions on back of dressing table 72-104-1 and 71-6-10 Historic Savannah Foundation. 77"H x 38 7/8"W x 18 3/8"D. Circa 1835. Provenance – Estate of Bill Selden, Athens, Tennessee. Condition: Refinished, minor veneer losses on one mirror support, scrolled feet.
