Glenna Maxey Goodacre (New Mexico/Texas, b.1939) bronze sculpture titled "Flower Girl", depicting a young girl wearing a sun bonnet and dress with ruffled neck. Signed and dated on the base "G. Goodacre/ 2009" and numbered 21/85. Sculpture – 17" H. 22" total H. 42.3 lbs. Biography: Glenna Goodacre has become well-known for her bronze sculptures, specializing in action portraits of children and Native Americans. Born in Texas, she graduated from Colorado College, and then studied at the Art Students League in New York. She has resided in Santa Fe, New Mexico since 1983. She has won numerous awards including awards from the National Sculpture Society, Allied Artists of America and the National Academy of Design. (source: AskArt).
