American Classical mahogany two drawer rectangular dressing table or bureau, with mahogany and mahogany veneer, poplar and white pine secondary. Plain top over two dovetailed drawers with brass pulls, elaborately carved and turned acanthus legs ending in brass capped feet. 29 3/4" H x 32" W x 21 1/2" D. Second quarter of the 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Michael and Peggy Mahoney, by descent from the historic homes of Clarkland Farm at Bryan's Station and Cherrycote, Lexington, Kentucky.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with use wear commensurate with age, older refinish. Some light staining and wear to top, losses to veneer on drawer fronts and front table edge and upper legs, one drawer with replaced runners. Patches to back.
