Eight (8) Hugh White (American, 20th Century) carved and painted Appalachian folk art figures including a figural sculpture depicting a male and female standing with two other males on a wood base with a cow and mule, together with a single bearded male in blue overalls and a single female holding with a rolling pin (both signed and dated on the underside) and a blue moonshine jug. Figures on base measure 11 1/4" H x 22" W x 5 1/2" D. Note: This group of carvings was once displayed at the Mountain Woodcarver's Shop in Gatlinburg, TN.
PROVENANCE: Private Bristol, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: All overall very good condition. Lady on sculpture reglued on base.
