1st item – An English Derringer type percussion pistol or "Coach" pistol with engraved wooden handle and engraved barrel. Hinged shell patch box. 7 1/8" L. Mid-19th century, English. 2nd item – 19th century Persian iron boat-form flask with spring-mounted stopper and engraved surface. Fitted with a leather carrying strap. 7 1/4" L. Provenance: Property of author Jon Manchip White, Knoxville, TN. Condition: 1st item – Dark oxidation to metal. Wear to engraving on metal. Wear to upper part of wooden handle. 2nd item – Overall very good condition. Leather strap probably not original.
