Large primitive six-sided lantern, having a wooden hexagonal top with metal dome and glass sides. Wooden stiles join to top with unusual paw or leaf-shape through-tenons. Also included are several lengths of unused cotton wick. 16-1/2" H x 13"W x 7"D. American, 19th century. CONDITION: Shrinkage cracks to top. Font possibly resoldered. Overall good condition.
