Plated metal lot of fourteen (14) policemen badges, two (2) whistles attached to a chain, ten (10) star buttons, four (4) small, black buttons, five (5) policeman buttons, six (6) star pins and two (2) small tacks. Five (5) of the items are Chief and Captain badges for Morristown, TN, three (3) are Deputy Sheriff badges for Hamblen County, TN, two (2) are Southern Railway badges, the one with a pierced star is from the early 1900s, two (2) are decorative Chief badges surrounded by laurel wreaths, one (1) is a Chief badge for the state of Tennessee and lastly, one (1) is a Deputy Sheriff badge for the state of Tennessee. One of the whistles is inscribed "Police Special" while the other one is inscribed "Regulation U.S. Army Solid Brass". Lot comes with a cotton pouch. Smallest badge: 2" x 1-1/8" Largest badge: 3-1/4" x 2-1/8" Star buttons: 1" dia. Star pins: 1" dia. Black buttons: 3/8" dia. Smallest police button: 1/2" Largest police button: 1" Tacks: 1/4" Whistles: 1-3/4" x 7/8". 20th century. Condition: Light tarnishing and oxidation.
