Sixty (60) piece Medical Heritage Society Limited Edition Medallic History of Medicine set, issued by the Franklin Mint, each depicting a notable figure in the field of medicine. Each medal is struck in sterling silver and housed in the original navy blue album. Each medal measures approx. 1 1/2 in. (40 mm) in dia. Total approx weight: 53.4 troy oz. Accompanied by a pamphlet and write-ups of various medals for the winning bidder. Album measure: 10 1/2 in. L x 8 5/8 in. W x 2 in. D.
PROVENANCE: The estate (Irrevocable Trust) of Waltraut H. Mizell, Nashville, TN.
CONDITION: Some oxidation on some coins. Medals were not examined outside the closed plastic case, nor were they individually weighed.
