English School, large oil on board portrait of a brown horse set against a landscape background. Unsigned; attributed to Harry (Henry) Hall (United Kingdom, c. 1814 1882). Housed in a giltwood frame. Attached verso are 2 1/4 pages of a catalog that lists artists including Hall, with Hall's name marked with red ink and a small photograph of the painting. Sight – 20 1/2" H x 24 3/4" W. Framed – 25 5/8" H x 30" W. Provenance: private Nashville collection. CONDITION: Areas of minor inpainting to torso, lower feet and head. Light surface grime. Please refer to blacklight photos.
