Set of four (4) George III carved mahogany side chairs. Each with rocaille carved yoke-shaped top rails over elaborate pierced and carved splats, reeded and beaded stiles, slip seats with carved aprons, and front foliate carved cabriole legs terminating in acanthus scrolled feet and curved rear legs. 39" H x 22 1/4" W x 19 3/4" D. 18th century
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Barbara K. Lipman, Memphis, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Scattered general use wear. A couple of chairs with possible repairs to splats near crests. Corner brackets supports for seats are late 19th/early 20th century replacements. A right carved return for one chair missing. One chair with loose back. Slip seats with non-matching upholstery.
