134 piece assembled set of Wallace and Watson Company Meadow Rose pattern sterling silver flatware, service for twelve plus extras, including fourteen (14) dinner knives (9 3/4" L); sixteen (16) dinner forks (7 3/4" L); twenty-two (22) luncheon forks (7 1/8" L); twenty-seven (27) salad/dessert forks (6 1/8" L); twenty-four (24) teaspoons (6 7/8" L); twelve (12) bouillon round bowl spoons (6 1/4" L); eight (8) iced tea spoons (8 3/8" L); six (6) table spoons (8 1/4" L); one (1) pierced service spoon (8 1/2" L); one (1) cold meat fork (7 3/4" L); two piece (2) carving set (10 1/2" L); one (1) gravy ladle (6" L). All stamped Sterling. Most pieces marked for Watson Co., some with older variation of their mark; 7 pieces stamped for Wallace, incl. 1 tablespoon, 3 salad forks and 3 teaspoons. Note: Watson company was acquired by Wallace in 1955, which continued the pattern under their brand. 162.32 weighable troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Hunter Kay, Franklin, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, light use wear. About a half dozen pieces monogrammed.
