Two Animal Themed Oil Paintings. 1st item: Oil on canvas painting by Henry Carey (British, late 19th/early 20th century) depicting sheep with chickens and rooster in a barn setting. Signed lower right. Unframed. 12" H x 20" W. Late 19th century. 2nd item: Oil on board painting depicting a young girl dressed in Edwardian clothing gazing to the side holding a cat while her dog looks on. Signed upper right "B. Treba?", possibly for Bernard Trebacz (19th/20th, Polish). Housed in a gilt wood frame. Sight – 19 1/2" H x 15 1/2" W. Framed – 23 1/2" H x 19 1/4" W. Condition: 1st item: Unframed. Overall cracklure with canvas pulling away from stretcher in some places. Some puntures to canvas upper right with tears in the canvas lower right. Paint loss to edges. 2nd item: Some inpainting evident to lower and upper right corners and along the perimeter. Losses and overall general wear to gilt frame.
