Putnam, 1861. Civil War era map showing both Federal and Confederate states. Image – 14 5/8" x 15 3/4". Sheet – 17" x 17" (irregular). Also included is a page from the Rebellion Record with introductory note and "Table of Occurences from Nov. 6, 1860-March 4, 1861". 9 3/4" x 6 1/2". 2nd item: G. Woolworth Colton, map of the United States showing Railroads and Counties, etc., "Used by General Grant in making the proposed lines of operations of the armies of the United States in 1864." From the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, 1861-1865. Image – 16 1/2" x 27". Sheet – 17 1/2" x 29". Provenance: The estate of Dr. Benjamin H. Caldwell, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: 1st item: Lower edge irregularly trimmed, some acid burn at left upper edge extending into image at center near word Colorada, couple small holes lower margin, vertical creases. 2nd item: Acid burn along left margin, overall good condition with some light creases.
