Kentucky two piece walnut press or wall cupboard, poplar secondary. Upper section with ogee cornice above two paneled doors with kite inlaid escutcheon, lower section with mid-molding above two dovetailed drawers, two paneled doors with kite inlaid escutcheons, and bracket feet with shaped skirt and returns. 88 3/4" H x 44 1/2" W x 15" D. Circa 1815-1820.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Donley and Eunice Hill, Andersonville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Older refinish; replaced brasses, right cornice, and 1/2 of right foot return. Hinges not original with patches to doors in location of previous hinges. Evidence of former paint in the upper interior. Shrinkage to panels of lower doors.
